After sitting at my desk and wondering if there was more to life than staring at a computer screen I thought to myself “there must be!” and I should get out in to the world and see what was on offer. Undecided about what job to do I consulted my friends who having enjoyed my food for years immediately said, “cooking!” I then realised that I had been cooking and baking for my friends birthdays, hen nights, dinner parties and family parties for years but had never thought I could turn a passion into a living. So I packed my bags, attended a residential cookery course and came out to France and work in a hotel kitchen. This was three years ago, since then I have worked on a yacht, in a private villa and for a luxury ski chalet company, now I am self-employed and making the most of living in France.
